ABOUT
I am a secondary educator who is passionate about promoting innovation, technology, and digital learning in my classroom. As far as my credentials go, I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Arlington (not too far from the Cowboy's Stadium). After college, my career took me through a variety of teaching positions in Frisco, Little Elm, and Northside school districts before finding my new home in Boerne ISD. I love the students and colleagues I work with here and truly believe this is the best district in Texas. My husband and sister also work for the District, and my daughter and nephews attend Cibolo Creek Elementary, so we are fully vested and supportive of the community. We hope to call Boerne home for many years to come!
Since teaching has led me to continually seek new learning, I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Digital Learning and Leadership through Lamar University. I believe it is vital for students to achieve digital fluency before heading off to college, so I frequently integrate my lessons with technology throughout the school year. This program is helping me to expand on my instructional ideas.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, reading, and attending barre classes at a local studio. I look forward to the years to come as I continue my journey as a life-long learner and grow as a digital leader.
